The second way you can lose weight in a week is to eat a diet that only includes fruits and vegetables. Leafy green salads, steamed vegetables, and fruit will give you large amounts of food with very few calories. Not only will you take in a far lower number of calories, your daily fiber intake will be significantly increased. Fiber helps to clean out the bowels and eliminate a substantial amount of excess waste that many people with bad diets carry around.

The third plan involves elements of both of the previous two alternatives. Increasing water and vegetable intake can aid in rapid weight loss as outlined. In addition, keeping the body healthy requires consumption of moderate amounts of meat, poultry, and fish for protein and grains for carbohydrates. Carbohydrates supply the fuel for your body, protein the building blocks for muscle, water to lubricate, and fiber to cleanse. The proper fuel and natural reduction in calories will result in weight loss.

This third plan may prove slightly slower than other weight loss options, but it does include a more balanced approach to changing the diet that makes it possible to continue to receive the needed nutrients to keep the body going while reducing the number of calories one consumes to a level that is lower than the number of calories burned each day.
